This Privacy Notice aims to give you information on how we collect and process your personal data through your use of this website. Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

THE DATA WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU 

For general users of our site, we may process a very limited amount of personal data about you. Since we do not have a mailing list or a newsletter we only collect your email address if you contact us through the email address above.

Through the use of cookies we do collect certain technical data, such as internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website. Additionally, we use a persistent identifier to let us know which user is an adult, and which is a child under 13.

We also collect and use Aggregated Data such as statistical data. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as it does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT KIDS

As noted above, as you log into this site, we determine if you are a child (under 13) or not. If you are determined to be above 13, the data discussed above is collected. If you are under 13, we do not collect any personal identifying information. The only information we collect is the fact that the user is  under 13 and then associate that with your technical data (the persistent identifier). When logged into as someone under 13, your experience on the site is different than someone older, in that there are no third-party links and no video embeds from YouTube or others. We do this to ensure that we provide a safe place for children to explore Paris and Pups.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS 

This website includes links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party sites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our website, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.

HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED? 

As you interact with our website, we may collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns. We collect this personal data by using cookies and other similar technologies. Please see our cookie paragraph at the end of this Privacy Notice for further details. We may also receive personal data about you from certain third parties such as analytics providers such as Google.

They will only process your personal data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

DATA RETENTION 

You can contact us and ask that we remove any information we have about you ahead of the natural expiry. For any information collected through the third-party links on the site, ex. Walmart, YouTube etc. the data retention is governed by their data retention policies.

Right of Access: You have the right to ask for your personal information which we have collected. If you do, we will provide:

Right of Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of personal information which we hold. However, this right is subject to some exceptions and does not apply in the following situations:

  • Information is required to comply with the law
  • Information is safeguarded to the right to free speech
  • Information is supporting research in the public interest

  • Charge you different prices for goods or services, whether through denying benefits or imposing penalties due to your request, or

As an individual, you are enabled to make requests twice in a 12-month period. As a business, we need to collect information from the requested party to verify your identity prior to taking any action. We will respond within 45 days of receiving a personal information request.
